About Us
The Northern Neck Middle Peninsula Telehealth Consortium, founded in September 2004, is a rural community-based organization. The Consortium operates under the Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration grant award numbers D06RH06883-03-00 and D04RH12656-01-00.
Our mission is to increase the overall health and well-being of the communities in the 10 county region of northeastern Virginia.
The Consortium assesses the community health needs within the service region, and identifies information and communication technologies to bridge gaps in medical service delivery. Additionally, the Consortium strategically shares facility resources and expenditures, and data gathering and dissemination of telemedicine outcomes. It is committed to increasing access to health care through an open telehealth system, while reducing health disparities by implementing a seamless health care delivery system.
Operations Coordinator- Job Opening
Description: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for office administration, and operations of the telemedicine clinic. She/he serves as fiscal assistant to the director, and communicates often with bookkeeper and contractors who support telehealth education programs and facilitate expansion of the telemedicine network and its technology solutions. Routine office tasks include reception, scheduling, travel arrangements, e-communications, preparing correspondence and publicity materials, grant submissions and reports, and compiling results of research.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics
- Excellent typing skills
- Several years experience using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OS), internet and e-mail systems
- Knowledge of computer systems, LANs, and system support software for offices
- Excellent interpersonal, customer-service orientation
- Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time and assignments
- Self-motivated, a problem solver, and comfortable working independently.
Required Qualifications
- Business courses at junior/community college, or technical certification
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in coordinating or supporting health-related services.
- Valid Virginia driving license and proof of insurance
